The Iran vs America Debate

-vs-

Well, looks like the Columbian University president Lee Bollinger had the biggest itch of his life, when he invited Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for a visit to the University. Wanting to show off his American values and blind patriotic love, he started off by a “welcome” speech that not only was humiliating, but also extremely immature. In reply to his “faulty” upbringing and ill-treatment, the Iranian president asked if this was how the Americans welcomed its guests. Enough said for any human with decency and moral ethics to feel ashamed and guilty - but no one will ever know if Mr. Bollinger felt so!

American government has never had the courage to accept mistakes and has always been intoxicated with the accumulation of power and wealth. Unfortunately, this trend has been caught up by its own people, more so in recent years especially after the 9/11 attacks (or a show so intricately planned by the American Govt. to omit any doubts in its people, and so they may never question their bosses in the white house). The irony of America is that even though it is one of the most advanced (or so it claims to be) nation, it’s citizens are THE most ignorant and uneducated people in the world. Consequently, they believe what they see and they believe what they hear, without ever questioning the source or applying logic to the matter. Not so surprising, as they have not been equipped with the tools that would help them come at a conclusion of their own, and not what the white house thinks.

The only issue that the American govt. has regarding Iran, is of its unwillingness to surrender to the American format and judgment. Furthermore, the fact that Iran mocks American govt. and openly voices its injustices and forceful nature that the American govt. imposes on all nations, makes it even more irritable. ONE nation in the whole world, and the U.S. of A unable to conquer, is intolerable to the American government.

Logic and reasoning seems far flung and thrown out of the window, as was seen when Mr. Bollinger addressed Mr. Ahmed in his speech. Only words of hate, brutality, abuse and irrational nonsense was witnessed — Is this the Freedom Of Speech, America so proudly claims?!

P.S. The most hilarious part of the whole debate were the audience. On Mr. Bollinger’s speech they applauded, and on the speech of Mr. Ahmedinajad they applauded… on who’s side is the american public ?!!
